How to earn money Facebook
"Is Facebook trying to make people unhappy to make money?" Hoe and myself, who have known each other for decades, discussed this conundrum in January. Hoe would like to earn money on Facebook, but is conflicted about creating fake content to draw in a Facebook audience. I am, of course, not interested in working on Facebook and fear doing so would prove fruitless, yet fear leaving the site is pointless. Hoe told me Facebook needs my earnings and earns the same amount that I would earn writing on Facebook's free site. My decision ultimately will be motivated by how much money I have left after covering expenses. I told Hoe I earn $3.33 per hour from Facebook and ask myself how much I have earned since I joined in March 2013. After reviewing my earnings from other sites, I have earned a total of $2,423.07. And that is about half of what Facebook earns for me. Then again, the market has changed a lot since Facebook started offering paid writing opportunities.
📌
Hoe has been earning $5,000 a month in Facebook earnings from Facebook advertisers. But Hoe says he earns as much as $40,000 a month on various websites, including Hoe.com, WritingForMoney.com and FacebookAffiliateMarketing.com.
In February, Hoe, who earns $6.75 a month in Facebook earnings through monetizing ads on Facebook, told me Facebook does not allow him to earn money without creating fake news. The company has turned off Hoe's advertising because his earnings show he is earning money on Facebook.
A month later, Hoe told me Facebook switched him back to a paid status, but only to write positive stories about Facebook and encourage users to spend more time on the social network. Hoe also receives a total of $3.77 a day for monetizing ads on Facebook. And for some reason, he can earn more than $10 a day on Facebook. The difference
📌
between earning $6.75 a month in Facebook earnings through monetizing ads and earning $10 a day on Facebook comes down to the amount of ads he posts and the amount he spends on advertising.
Hoe adds he does not consider Facebook ads to be a complete waste of time because he receives $2.34 for each ad he posts. "Advertising on Facebook is not completely pointless and offers a better earning potential than writing on Facebook for a longer period," Hoe tells me. "Not earning money by writing on Facebook for more than six months is basically pointless for me because I earn almost $3 a day for each ad I post. This means I can earn more money by posting ads on Facebook than writing on Facebook for six months. So I do not find Facebook ads completely useless for earning money."
Facebook advertises paid writing opportunities such as content writing, blog post creation and, on the Facebook Marketplace, selling items, home repair jobs and services.
📌
"These earning opportunities are targeted to a specific age group and location and the earning potential is for more than one person," Hoe explains.
By targeting a specific age group, Facebook could earn the same amount for targeting high school students in Los Angeles, California, where Hoe lives, as it could earn for targeting a high school in Texas where I grew up and where Hoe does not live.
Other postings that earn money from Facebook include post linking to other sites, comment posting, sharing information with the intention of generating a business transaction or publicizing a product or service.
It is a dilemma to be both a writer and earning money on Facebook. Hoe says he earns as much as $10 a day on Facebook. But with so many other writing opportunities available, such as making money off ads on Facebook, is he really making any money at all on Facebook?

"Advertising on Facebook is not completely useless," Hoe says.
I recently discovered Facebook earns money from not only content you post, but also from videos you post on Facebook and advertisements you post that aren't content-related.
